Omar Choudhury: Scaling A Side Hustle Into A Million-Dollar Agency

Digital entrepreneurship is creating a new wave of millionaires. Powered by endless opportunity, there are hundreds of brand-new business models that enable young entrepreneurs to channel their inward creativity and become massively successful in a short amount of time.

Who is Omar?

Omar Choudhury, aka OmarConnects, has fast become one of the best known Instagram marketers and consultants of 2020. With his main focus on scaling and helping entrepreneurs monetize their brand online, Omar shares with us how he took a small side hustle and turned it into running a million-dollar agency in less than a year.

Growing up and expecting to be in a corporate job for his entire career, Omar was surprised by how trapped the 9-5 life really was once he started his accounting degree apprenticeship. Despite being accepted into a Big 4 Accountancy firm at the age of 18 and having his degree paid for him, a few months into the program Omar fast realized that a job alone could not solely support him. Towards the end of his first year, he set up a digital mentoring business, helping students and new graduates with the skills they needed to land a good job. However, a few months later, Omar understood that he was destined for high ticket work, not just a small project.

Starting his entrepreneurship journey

He decided he wanted to go into the digital marketing and sales industry. So he set up a consulting and closing business, however a few days into it, he realized without a credible Instagram brand behind him, no one would take him seriously. This is where he first met Dre and Arthur who helped Omar with his brand. A few days later Omar closed his first deal, which was a 6 figure annual contract! From there he started closing more big clients which led him to get the nickname “The Prince of Closing Deals”.

10 weeks into his entrepreneurship journey, Omar decided to take the leap of faith and drop out of university as well as his job. He tells us he did this because “You only live once, and if I had a choice to live one more day either trapped behind a desk in a 9-5 or doing something I’d be remembered for, it’s a no brainer why I chose the latter. Also, I was 20 years old, worst-case scenario, I go back to Uni next year, but I don’t want to live my life with regret, like so many adults have. And lastly, one thing I realized is once you start to know how to make money, you never forget”. Great insight from someone who has taken a risk many of our younger as well as older readers probably have thought of doing too.

Grow With Us Agency

Although he loved working with his consultancy clients and he was getting them crazy results (up to 1200% revenue increase only 2 months into working with them), Omar came to realize that their success as well as his own really all stemmed down to the credible brand they had online. Omar went back to Dre and Arthur and together they brainstormed how to take their Instagram branding agency to more people. Fast forward a few months later and Grow With Us Agency (GWU) is seen as the highest-ranking Instagram branding and marketing agency, the company has made millions of dollars and has over 1,000 clients including a lot of high net-worth individuals. Omar is extremely proud of how many happy clients as well as student testimonials the company has managed to attain.

Joining GWU as a partner is an opportunity to work alongside Omar, Dre, and Arthur as part of the sales team and directly learn on a more 1-1 basis. With 15-year-olds closing $10K in a single week with the team, it’s no surprise that so many individuals are applying to learn from Omar. He teaches his team high-income skills, self-development and creates a family environment for everyone. Overall the story of Omar is something amazing, and yet not too distant from what any normal young person can create. It’s all about taking action, a few risks and, investing in the right opportunities.
We’re excited to see what is to come for the young Prince and the empire he is creating for himself and his community.

I have a few questions about this article…
    1. How could Omar help students and graduates with the skills they needed when he hasn’t graduated himself?
    2. If OmarConnects is a multi million dolar business why does it have no website and is not registered on Companies House?
    3. Who are Dre and Arthur? Do we get to know their surnames?
    4. How does a first year university student close a six figure annual contract on their first attempt?
    5. What deals does the Prince actually close and how does he help?
    6. Why does GWU use a flipped logo of Stratton Oakmont – the fraudulent firm made famous by The Wolf of Wall Street?

    Thanks
