Misho Amoli

This Bulgarian YouTuber, model and influencer who has lived in Spain for more than 15 years has carved out an incredible niche for himself in the fashion world, both on the national scene and beyond our borders. But the content of Misho goes much further. On his YouTube channel (Misho Amoli) we can find a large amount of quality content in which he mixes his humor, his unmistakable style and fashion, to create some of the most interesting series on the platform, such as “What Are People Wearing?” or “Tell me a secret!”

That is why we wanted to have him talk to us about his vision of fashion and tell us what trends are going to sweep this 2022 right away:

1. Post-apocalyptic aesthetics, neutral colors, ‘avant-garde’ and many military garments.

This is how Misho Amoli encompasses one of the biggest trends for this year. “We come from several years in which many important events have happened, and not all of them very pleasant, but that has made us stronger,” the youtuber tells us.

“The neutral colors closely linked to the earth, the military garments such as long coats, bombers, balaclavas or boots that give us that strong and determined look and the slightly more post-apocalyptic and futuristic aesthetic, as we have seen in many films. , they are going to be a total success, not only for 2022, but for a long period to come.” Designers like Rick Owens or Raf Simons have gone from being known and followed by a small niche of people, to being super-mainstream brands desired by millions of people around the world in a very short period of time, just like we had a Supreme boom or Yeezy at the time, when what was interesting was to be part of the hypebeast wave, now there is a new wave of young people much more interested in the quality, aesthetics and cuts of the garments.

2. Volumes, shapes ahead of everything.

“As I said before, I think we’ve finally reached the point where we’re more interested in something looking ‘good’ before anything else. Knowing ourselves and daring with new things is a fundamental part of taking our daily outfits to another level”, clarifies Misho.“Once the step has been taken, playing with the volumes and shapes of our garments is something wonderful. Looking for different and special things to create increasingly interesting looks should be a priority for this 2022.”

3. Color clashing, Y2K and anything goes.

“I put these three trends together because today they are the perfect definition of how fashion has changed. Years ago there were rules in most cases imposed quite stupidly about what colors look good together according to someone, what is worn and that it stops being carried away according to another and that it is good and that it is bad according to a third party, “says Misho. “Today, thanks to so many people who have opened their minds, this is over. I think we have taken that weight off and we can be calm and use what we want or almost”, although he later clarifies that we still have a bit to go before it is 100%.

“Now, combining opposite and visibly non-combinable colors is fashionable, and the truth is that it is great. I hope to see more and more people lose their fear of colors. On the other hand we have the anti-aesthetic of Y2K that we hated for so many years and we said that we would never wear it again, and yet this year it will be worn more than ever”. A true lesson of never say never: dropped crotch pants, bell-bottom jeans, which have already been a trend since last year , along with crop tops and playing with silhouettes that are slimmer in the upper part of the body and more oversized from the waist down.

“With all this we can only reach one conclusion, the rules are over and this is not valid. Everyone can make something work if they use it with the right attitude” says Misho Amoli.
