These days, there is no shortage of online dating sites and apps. Older folks might tell you that you should just wait, let it happen naturally, find someone out in the real world. But things are not just that simple for some communities, like the Persian Jews. Since they prefer to marry a Jew with preferably a Persian background, the options are pretty limited for them. It was a huge gap in the online dating market which has been finally filled by the serial entrepreneur, philanthropist and aspiring sports coach Arash Barmaan. Arash has launched Boos, the first and one of its kind dating app that shows you the Jewish Persian profiles of men and women who are serious about getting into a long term relationship often resulting in happy marriages.
Boos – Dating During the Pandemic
Online Dating is the new normal amid the growing pandemic. People have taken on virtual dating as the only option to find love while maintaining social distance. Apps like Boos have really helped communities like the Persian Jews in finding their soulmates. Even if someone is not a Jew or even not a Persian, he or she can still use the app to date a member of the Persian Jewish community. This has never been done before and the whole Persian Jewish community all around the world has really applauded this step from Arash.
The Problems It Solved
While Boos has straightened many paths, things were not that simple a while ago. Some Persian Jews even converted and left their religion and community to spend the rest of their life with their loved ones. Now, Boos not only allows them to date people with similar backgrounds but also encourages them to get married faster and live a happy and fulfilling life ahead. It thus becomes even more worthwhile to use Boos as a method of meeting a partner within the community’s religious and social parameters for Persian Jews.
Boos – Keeping You Connected
As social animals, humans have turned to online dating apps to maintain their social connections and interactions due to home restrictions and social distancing for the past couple of years. Dating apps like Boos are not only a convenient way to stay connected but also a stress buster, especially when they connect you with individuals who are serious in getting married, that too within the Jewish Persian community.
Find the Partner of Your Choice
On Boos, you are free to choose your Jewish Persian dating partner depending on your preferences and how you expect your partner to be like. If you have a perfect match, it may be the start of a new relationship! Boos lets you surf through many different profiles based on your preferences within the Persian Jewish community. The major advantages of using Boos are getting your details like age, location, height, gender, and ethnicity, so these attributes help the algorithm narrow down the lists of potential matches for you.
Location Specific Dating
Finding your partner in the desired location is one of the commendable advantages of the Boos app, especially if you are looking for someone from the Persian Jewish community. Offering you access to your profile from your smartphone, Boos lets you find your match in your preferred location. Disregarding ethnicity, social, and economic background, someone looking for love only needs to have internet access, create an account, and start finding the right match through Boos. You don’t necessarily have to be a Jewish Persian to download Boos. In fact, it can help you get familiar with a different culture.
Poly for Polygamists
This is not the first time that Arash has come up with a concept this revolutionary. He also founded Poly a few years back. It was an app that facilitated dating and marriage for polygamists – people who like to have multiple spouses at the sametime with mutual consent.
Best Thing for Introvert Persian Jews
Introverts are prone to be nervous and feel goosebumps while interacting with someone. Worst case scenario, they may have panic and anxiety attacks putting them into an awkward situation. This can be even more pronounced when you have a pretty brief dating exposure, being a Persian Jew. Boos solved this problem for the very first time! It simply comes to the rescue of the Persian Jews who feel lonely as they find it difficult to find a perfect match within their community. Emotional intimacy is the need of the hour for everyone and Boos is the best option you have in the Jewish Persian community.
Arash, Defying All the Odds
For Arash, creating the app is the latest step in a successful business and creative career. However, the road was not always this straight for young Arash. As a child, he dreamed of playing basketball. He was so enamored with basketball that he never contemplated any other career path. His parents were middle eastern, so he was expected to conform to the stereotype of becoming a doctor, lawyer, or engineer because of his ethnicity. Despite their advice, Arash always followed his heart and pursued his dreams to the fullest extent of his abilities.
The Basketball Career
In order to make it to the Santa Monica College men’s basketball team without them having a reason to cut him, he had to practice and put in more work after getting cut from his high school varsity basketball team for racism and political profiling reasons. It wasn’t easy to find roster spots after tryouts. Recruits and returning players were assigned the most spots. There was still a chance for Arash to succeed in the years to come. It was during this process that he made the decision to play overseas and then transition into the NBA in order to increase his chances of success.
A Change for Good
Given his genetic make-up and background, he faced tremendous odds. He just noticed that even if he became a basketball player, he would not be as successful as the big-named players and will be exhausted and banged up when he retires as a professional basketball player.
Future Plans
Given the myriad different types of scenarios he could have had if he had chosen a basketball career, he chose to pursue his long-standing dream and aspirations of creating his own app as the founder and CEO of his own business. Arash is planning to become an NBA athletic trainer one day to be close to what was once his only passion. In order to complete his sports administration degree, Arash will transfer to the University of Miami while he continues to manage his business.
